Report
Retailers have continued to face a challenging summer season. Our visitor figures
continue to be down, so our retailers must continue to earn and keep the loyalty
of the local resident consumer.
As we move towards the vital Christmas shopping season, it is important
to reinforce all the good reasons for, and the jobs which depend on shopping
at home.
On-line and catalogue shopping, combined with the Bermudian "passion" for
overseas shopping continue so the "Buy Bermuda" campaign itself must continue
to provide reasons and reminder messages encouraging Bermudians of all
economic levels to continue to "Buy Bermuda" and "Keep Bermuda working."
